Holiday Sparkle & a Fashion Rant

Hey friends!! We're getting closer and closer to Christmas!! Just 3 days away, YIKES!! I still have to get something together for my man! Speaking of that handsome guy... he just called me for a spontaneous afternoon date, so I am going to make this quick so I can head out and see what surprises are awaiting me. Fun times!!

Um, also, something I've been noticing lately- women in boot cut jeans with them tucked in to their boots!!! What's up with that?? Does this totally drive anyone else NUTS?? I was tweeting about it this week, haha!

Weekend Threads: Camo Style!

Hey all!! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!! I wore this outfit yesterday on a late lunch date to Typhoon! with my man. I had the Crab Phad Thai dish as per usual, and it is AH-MAZING!! For real! If you like crab it's a must-have!!

We had a really fun time together!

I LOVE this sweater {also worn here}!! It is seriously so comfortable and so warm. I think next time I wear it I'm going to belt it. So my brothers like to make fun of these pants, but I think camo can be really stylish. BE HONEST, what do you think about camo? I won't be offended if you don't like it, I'm just curious what you other fashionistas think!! I like it a lot, I just don't think it's a pattern to mix another pattern with without looking tacky. If anyone has successfully done this, please show me the link! I'd love to see!!

I added the hat on my way out the door and I thought it was a fun addition to this look. I really love hats!

I can't think of one... I usually get good stuff!

Sounds cliche, but my family and friends... that's what first came to mind. I honestly can't think of a material gift that really rocked my world enough to recall.

11. My family has this weird tradition:

None of ours are weird, just very fun. We bowl after Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas Eve after church we head over to RingSide Steakhouse courtesy of my dad, where we get to order whatever we please! Steak & Lobster anyone?

12. My best bargain find for a gift this year:

Hmmm... I knitted a couple scarves with yarn I got on sale.

13. If I could only buy all my gifts from one place, I'd shop at:

Anything online. I'm not into the crowded malls and shopping centers.

Well, every Christmas since we were 4 and 6, my oldest brother and I would wake up earlier than my parents and unwrap one gift and rewrap it. Once everyone was up, that's the one we would open first! It's always been our little secret {Mom, if you're reading this, so sorry but it was super fun all these years!! haha}

16. My favorite Christmas movie:

Home Alone is pretty high on my list.

The smell of my Christmas tree, and houses decorated well with lights!

Hey everyone!! Remember earlier in the year when I'd tweet or Facebook ya'll, and ask who's working out today? It was so fun to get everyone's responses and to motivate one another, wasn't it? I know it's totally my fault for dropping off the blog for awhile, but I really want to get back to doing that!! It was such a creative way to hear about different ways people are staying in shape, sharing in our successes and failures, motivating each other, and to get our vicarious workout on during injury recoveries and such. Here are a couple of screen shots of you awesome readers commenting on Facebook, or sending me a tweet for me to RT on Twitter:

Gingerbread Fun!!

Hi Everyone!!!

I hope this post finds you well and enjoying life wherever you are! I sure am!! I wore this fun little outfit yesterday. After work I was heading over to a friend's house. I have made it a Christmas time tradition for several years now, that her and her husband will take off for a date night and I will decorate gingerbread houses with their two children. It's so fun watching them grow up!! They are now 13 and almost 11, and I started babysitting for them when the 13 year old, Liesl, was only an infant!! Wow, time flies when you're watching kiddos grow up, doesn't it?? I truly adore these kids. There's a photo at the end of Liesl and I with some of the gingerbread houses.
