White-Out!

it looks like my fly was down a little bit!! haha.

THE OUTFIT:
cream cami - ON
white blouse - ON
white skinnies - H & M
gold wedges - Old, by Steve Madden
earrings - don't remember
bracelet - Target
leopard clutch - H & M
sunnies - random shop at the beach

For this look, I chose to keep the make-up light. I just used Estee Lauder Go Wink Powder Shadow in Goldlooks, MAC Blacktrack Fluidline eyeliner on top, MAC Graphblack Technakohl Liner on the bottom and Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Coffee Cake on my cheek bones. I didn't want my eyes to look too smoky with my white out look. I don't know if you can tell they're bright in the photos, but they are! I decided to use gold and leopard accessories. I think gold looks quite classy with all white, don't you? I am trying to wear more accessories in my looks. I always wear earrings and a ring, but often I just leave my diamond studs in rather than wearing a pair of my many fashion forward pairs of earrings. The earrings I am wearing here are bronze hoops with gold sequins hanging from the bottom, and I love them! My ring is sparkly gold and my wedges are gold and bronze. Honestly, I think I nailed the white-out look! And I am so happy my {white} shellac manicure lasted for this too!

I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago here, but  anyone can wear the white-out look. It's all about how you wear it and and choosing bright accessories to break it up. Here are some examples:

  1. If you are uncomfortable with a more fitted look on top, try some white skinnies or capris with a white tunic {possibly with some lace or other embellishments} that covers your rear with a white or cream camisole underneath.
  2. Another option is a white maxi or tea length skirt or white wide legs or flares, with a white or cream top and a white, belted camisole. The belt would be one of the many bright Spring colors such as turquoise, coral, yellow, red, etc.
  3. Finally, accessories, accessories, accessories! Pile 'em on, make sure you've got lots of color! Bracelets/bangles, statement rings or necklaces and colored belts placed to break up with white and compliment your figure.
  4. And friends, please do not ever wear a hot pink bra or bright green thong under your whites, okay? I wish I didn't have to say this, but it's been done! So, let's keep it classy and wear nude undergarments with this trend, deal?
  5. For more tips check out a post Katy, from Modly Chic put together on how to rock this trend!

So now that we got all that out of the way, can I tell you how happy I was to have a day of SUNSHINE today?! It was 71* and I felt so blessed to finally have SUN! I know, some of you are out layin' by the pool in 85* weather. I actually prefer 80*+ with no humidity, but when it's been cloudy and rainy for the past 8398302745606 days, I will not complain about 71* and SUN. Promise!

Have a fabulous day, everybody! I can't wait until tomorrow for the link-up to see how everyone else rocked the White-Out trend in the Bloggers Do It Better Challenge,  hosted by Kristina of Pretty Shiny Sparkly.

this post is late and there's no fit tuesday because im stranded out of town without my laptop, editing from by blackberry, while my car is at a random mechanic costing lots of money for a new alternator

  4. You are so right about the bright undies. I agree we can wear anything we want as long we believe it ourselves. I like the leopard clutch against the white. I've seen a couple of bloggers use it and it works.

  21.  Boy don't you look pretty.  Do you know I don't have white like that?  I need to get more into my wardrobe.  I use to wear it a lot.
You look so beautiful and that animal print clutch is off the chain.
You so right, do not wear a pink bra under a white top.  And I say don't wear it in a music video either that way.  LOL.
