Thank you!!

Today's post is brought to you by the number "12." I now have TWELVE followers! I'm not even going to try to play it cool- this fact absolutely thrills me!! Obviously this isn't a popularity contest, but I am honestly truly humbled that anyone would read this. And each time I get a comment, I get super excited, like it's a gift to open! Seriously!  I don't know about each of you, but personally it has been a challenge for me to put myself out there like this. I'm a pretty confident woman, but this was a little vulnerable for me. I see so many bloggers {including y'all} who are so much more established than myself. Not only that, but so widely received and embraced by many readers. Many that I read regularly seem to have captive audiences that comment regularly. My blog is for my growth in many ways, but a goal of mine is to also have an impact - for lack of better words - on others'... to find my niche in this whole sphere of blogging fashionistas!

Anyway, I'm getting all touchy feely, but you get what I mean, right?!

Cheers to you 12, and thank you for starting off 2011 with me and my "style!"

  1. Happy New Year!

Congratulations on your subscribers. I agree that it does take some guts to put yourself out there but just keep doing what your doing and you will feel find your niche. I am growing myself daily and learning and that's so enjoyable to me.
Much success to you in 2011.

  2. Happy New Year, Krystle, and congratulations! Actually you're up to lucky 13 : ) (that's my birthday so I don't feel it's at all unlucky).

We've all been there: we've all started out with no followers and no comments (my husband used to leave comments with made up girls' names, saying things like 'I love her shoes! xx' - just so it wouldn't feel so empty. I've also put you on my 'new baby bloggers' blog roll - every little bit helps.

It's funny: it really is a scary thing at first. No matter how confident - or shy - we think we are, starting a blog is always gonna feel like the first day in a new school. You really do feel like a tree falling in a forest for a long time - and so many people give up (my blog roll is filled with blogs like that - It's such a project going thru and seeing who's sticking with their blogs). You just have such a lovely sunny attitude, and a generous spirit, and that comes shining through.
